About the MGOThe Mathematics Graduate Organization (MGO) is a graduate student organization whose main purpose is to act as a liaison between graduate students and faculty. All graduate students in the Math and Math Education programs are members of the MGO. Traditionally, the MGO organizes two annual events: the fall picnic and the Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference. The Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference, most often called the "MGO Conference", is a two-day conference which has taken place every spring for more than three decades. It draws graduate students, undergraduates, and faculty from across the northeastern United States and also from southeastern Canada. The conference is unique as it is organized entirely by graduate students, and thus the scheduled talks are aimed at a graduate or advanced undergraduate level. |
