These are some of the less-recent occurrences in the Syracuse University Mathematics Department since the advent of the new website.

This week the MGO Colloquium returns! Friday, October 19, at 2:15, come see the first of this year's colloquia. Keep checking the colloquium portion of the site for the latest one! Hope to see you all there!
The Annual MGO Picnic was a success! It was met with good weather, and fair attendance, held Saturday, September 8, from 11am to 6pm, at the Falls Shelter in Pratt's Falls County Park.

Syracuse University's thesis guidelines are now available.
On Friday, 13 April 2007, Allen Pelley successfully defended his PhD thesis "Representations of a Valued Quiver, the Lattice of Admissible Sequences, and the Weyl Group of a Kac-Moody Algebra." Congratulations Allen!
The 33rd Annual New York State Regional Graduate Mathematics Conference was held at SU on March 30 and 31. Thank you to Carl Pomerance (Dartmouth) and Steve Hofmann (U Missouri-Columbia) for making it a great success.

On Friday, 3 March 2006, Nihat Gogus presented and defended his PhD thesis. Congratulations!

The 2005 Fall Picnic at Oneida Shores was a success! We had beautiful weather and good food, all day, and there was a good showing by graduate students and faculty.
